I've had a prebuilt PC for a couple of years that has served me well, but I'm looking to upgrade to keep up with my growing needs. I want to retain some parts while upgrading others to ensure it lasts for a few more years. Additionally, I'm curious if upgrading will enable me to switch to Windows 11 since my current specs don't meet the requirements.
Here's what I've got:
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor (3.60 GHz)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)
- 16 GB DDR4 3200 RAM
- 1 TB SSD
- 600w Gold PSU
I'm eager to hear any advice on components to upgrade for both gaming and processing power, as I'm completely new to this and unsure what else I should be considering.

Upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and pairing it with a Radeon 6800 XT would give you a fantastic performance boost. Plus, adding another 16 GB of RAM would really make your system shine!
If your prebuilt uses off-the-shelf components, consider getting the Ryzen 7 5700X3D CPU and any GPU you can afford. Just be cautious with brands like Dell or HP, as they may have compatibility issues with CPUs or PSUs. You might need adapters for some parts!
I purchased it online; it's a Skytech gaming computer. I plan to upgrade the CPU but are there any affordable GPUs that outperform the 3060?
