I'm having a frustrating issue with my laptop. It keeps making a soft beeping sound every few seconds, starting about a minute after I boot into Windows. Sometimes it stops for a bit but then starts up again randomly. The oddest thing is that it beeps even when I mute the system completely. The volume mixer doesn't show anything outputting sound; it's like the beeping is bypassing the usual audio settings in Windows. This issue doesn't occur in BIOS or Safe Mode, so it seems like a software problem. I've got Intel Smart Sound and Realtek audio drivers installed, and even removed Nahimic, but that didn't help. I've already tried reinstalling the audio drivers, turning off enhancements, checking for notifications, scanning for malware, and looking for any hidden beep devices in Device Manager, but nothing has worked. The Resource Monitor only shows audiodg.exe running. Has anyone else dealt with this or have any ideas on how to fix it?

It could also be a software issue related to Windows audio settings or drivers. You might want to check your audio settings one more time or see if there are any updates or alternate drivers available for your audio hardware.
Are you sure it's a beep and not just a high-pitched squeal? It might be that your speakers aren't shielded properly and are picking up electrical noise from components like the CPU or GPU.

Pretty confident that's not the case. The beeping is pretty consistent and follows a regular pattern. Plus, I noticed that when I play audio through wired headphones, the beeping stops. It's definitely more like the sound a printer makes when it's printing.
