MacBook Air Randomly Deleting Text – Need Help!

I recently bought a MacBook Air and it started deleting text by itself a month in. Initially, it would stop after a few minutes, but now it doesn't. You can actually hear the delete key being pressed, even when I'm not typing. I updated my system and restarted, but the issue persists. I took it to Apple, and after checking, they replaced it, suspecting a hardware issue. However, within 24 hours of using the replacement, the problem reappeared, and it happens whether I'm using an external keyboard or not. I suspect it might be due to an app I downloaded. The only apps I have are Microsoft Office and Spotify, and I also have an old, worn-out charger. Has anyone dealt with this issue before and found a solution?

It sounds like a software issue, especially since it's happened on both computers. I recommend wiping your Mac and restoring it to factory settings. After that, install apps one by one to track down the culprit.

I tried that, but it still happened with nothing installed. I even wiped my old Mac to see if the issue occurs there!

Have you checked if Sticky Keys is turned on? That might be causing repetitive key presses inadvertently.

Nope, I didn't have Sticky Keys on.
