MERN Stack vs Java: What’s Better for Cloud and DevOps Careers?

Hey everyone! I'm at a crossroads and need some advice. As a student, I have to choose between MERN and Java for next year, but my ultimate goal is to specialize in cloud or DevOps. Which tech stack do you think would be more effective for this career path? Also, are there any other languages you'd recommend that might fit better, like Go? I'm just starting out in development, so I'd really appreciate your thoughts!

MERN is still used in full-stack development, but it's become a bit of an umbrella term these days—many people don’t even use MongoDB with it. It's still quite popular for rapid prototype builds, but I’m not sure how often it gets used in professional settings these days. Just keep that in mind!

Yeah, the Express/React/Node part is definitely popular, but MongoDB might be less common in production. Companies are using different setups now, so it’s really a mixed bag. Just focus on what suits your needs!
