I've had Apple coverage on my iPhone since last year, but I let it cancel because I just didn't pay the bill (I know, it was a dumb move). Then I got the 45-day notice to renew, but I completely spaced on it. Can I still get AppleCare back, or is it too late? Also, are there any trustworthy third-party insurance options available for iPhones in the UK?

Honestly, it might be a blessing in disguise. Instead of rushing into more insurance, consider saving that money in a separate account for repairs. If you don’t need it, then at least you didn’t waste it. Plus, lots of folks don’t actually use AppleCare much anyway!
That’s a bit of a silly suggestion, to be honest. Some people really benefit from having coverage!
Unfortunately, since you've already missed the renewal period, there's really no way to get AppleCare+ back. They offer a pretty strict window for that, and it sounds like you've hit the limit.
Sorry to hear about your situation! It really seems like you're out of luck with Apple. Your best bet now would be to keep an eye out for a third-party insurance provider. There are some decent alternatives, so it might be worth looking into them.

True, but just because someone doesn’t use it doesn’t mean it’s worthless! Many prefer to be safe with coverage instead of taking the risk.
