I'm having trouble with my Apple Pencil 1 not writing on my iPad 9. The Pencil has battery life, connects to the iPad without issues, and I've even tried swapping out the tips. I'm not sure what else to do to get it working again. Any ideas?

You could try testing someone else's Apple Pencil (1st gen) with your iPad to see if it’s an issue with the iPad or the Pencil. That way, you can narrow down where the problem lies!
Make sure to check your settings! With the Pencil paired but not plugged in, go to Settings > General > About. Scroll down—if you see the Apple Pencil option and can tap it, your Pencil is connecting. If you don't see it, there might be a disconnect. Also, unscrew the tip and check the internal copper tip. It should be straight; if it’s bent, that can cause issues, especially if the Pencil was dropped.
It shows the serial number, and the internal tip looks straight too. Can you post a pic of what it should look like?
I don't know anyone with one, and I doubt the Apple Store will have one to test either.
