I'm having a frustrating issue where the CMOS resets every time I turn off my power supply. I have an Aorus X870I pro ice motherboard that I bought just two weeks ago. It was shipped and assembled into a PC running Windows 11 Pro, and everything else seems to be working fine. If you need more information, just let me know. I've also tried to remove the motherboard's shroud to access the battery for replacement, but it feels stuck, and I can't loosen one of the screws to take it off without damaging it. Any advice?

It sounds like your CMOS battery might be dead, which usually means you need to get that shroud off to change it. Are you sure you're unscrewing it from the back of the motherboard? It really is a frustrating design—they often make you take the whole board out of the case just to get to those screws.
Honestly, I'd recommend returning the motherboard if you can. You shouldn't have to replace the CMOS battery on a brand new board. Consider looking for a model with a more accessible battery in the future to save yourself some hassle.
