My daughter’s computer keeps restarting—any ideas on what’s wrong?

Hi everyone! I'm hoping to get some help here. I bought my daughter a computer last year just for playing games like Sims, and it's worked fine until recently. Lately, it keeps restarting on its own every few minutes. It's not immediate; she can get to the desktop and use a few apps, but after about 3 to 5 minutes, it just resets. Additionally, it's been having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi—there's no option for it, only Ethernet shows up. I tried updating the software, but that hasn't worked either. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Sounds frustrating! First off, can you tell if it shows a shutdown screen or just goes black before restarting? There could be a few reasons behind this. Try checking if the auto-restart is activated after a system failure—there's a guide here if you need help. Next, run a couple of scans to check for any issues. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type in these commands:

1. `sfc /scannow` (then hit Enter)
2. After that's done, type `DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth` and hit Enter again.

Reboot your PC after both commands. Once we get that resolved, we can look into the Wi-Fi problems, which might be related to your wireless card or its settings.

Yeah, the screen going black and showing the logo helps. It sounds like a typical reset process. Hopefully, those scans will help figure it out!
