I just finished assembling my first PC build, but when I try to power it on, nothing happens. There's no sound, no lights, no beeps at all. I've ensured that the power strip is on and that the power supply is properly plugged in. I've also connected the front panel cables to the motherboard. The case is a C8 curved wood design. Shouldn't there at least be a green light indicating the power supply is on? I'd appreciate any troubleshooting suggestions to get this thing up and running!

If you're not seeing any lights at all, the problem might be with the motherboard. Some motherboards require both the 24-pin ATX cable and an additional 8-pin power connector for the CPU. Double-check those connections. If you can see no status lights on the motherboard, that's a sign that something's not right.
Have you checked if the RAM is seated properly? Sometimes, if they're not in the right slots or not clicked in completely, the system won't power on. Also, is there any sign of life from the fans? If they aren't spinning, that could indicate a power issue. Lastly, keep an eye out for any debug lights on the motherboard itself.
First, check if the power supply switch is indeed turned on. It should be in the 'I' position rather than 'O'. Make sure the power cable is connected properly to both the wall outlet and the power supply itself. If all that seems fine, verify that all your motherboard connections are secure, especially the 24-pin and the 8-pin CPU cables. If you're still having issues, you might want to short the power switch pins on the motherboard directly to see if the button is faulty.
