I've been having issues with my new 5070 graphics card. I've had this setup for some time, but recently, when I play more demanding games like City Skylines 2 and Jurassic World Evolution 3, the games crash on me after a while. I did encounter a crash while playing Madden, but I managed to fix that by changing an ambient occlusion setting. That leaves me wondering, though—why do my games crash with the setting enabled, and should I just disable ambient occlusion for all the games I play?

Have you tried doing a Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) clean-up? It’s crucial if you switched from a different GPU brand before installing your new graphics card. Even though your prebuilt from NZXT is new, leftover drivers can cause issues. DDU will wipe those prior drivers so you can install the latest ones for your 5070 cleanly.
I faced a similar situation with my 3070 Ti. After a couple of years without issues, my games started crashing, leaving me with a black screen and loud fans. I tried everything, from reinstalling Windows to changing the PSU, but nothing worked. The fix came when I underclocked my GPU and cleaned it up—when I opened it, I found the thermal paste was almost gone! Reapplying it made a huge difference. You might want to look up how to disassemble your GPU and give it a good clean.
I’ll definitely look into that. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Sounds like a good idea! I'll check out a DDU tutorial and give it a go.
