Hey everyone! I recently cleaned my PC because it was covered in dust for ages. I took everything apart to clean it and reassembled it, but after doing so, my GPU's performance has dropped significantly. I used to get around 120 fps in Marvel Rivals, but now I can barely reach 40 fps, even though temperatures are under control (hovering around +60 degrees). I've ensured that the GPU fans are spinning after disabling the 0 RPM option in AMD software, which helped reduce the temperature to the normal range (30-40 degrees). However, my fps is still stuck around 30.
I ran a FurMark test to check its performance and noticed that my RX 6600 XT, which should normally give me 130-170 fps, is only hitting 60-70 fps. My monitor is connected directly to the GPU and not to the motherboard, and I've already tried reinstalling the graphics drivers twice. Thankfully, both the GPU and CPU are no longer overheating.
I'm at a loss for what to do next. Should I consider checking the CPU as well? Or is it time to sell the GPU and look for a replacement? Any advice would be appreciated!

Repasting can be tricky! What thermal compound did you use? Sometimes it helps to let it "bake-in" to work out any air bubbles after applying. I’ve heard mixed experiences with repasting, and some folks end up having to redo it because it just didn’t work out the first time. Noctua paste seems to have a good reputation!
One thing to double-check is whether your GPU is straight and not bent. If you mounted the cooler incorrectly, it could torque the board and reduce cooling efficiency. Just make sure everything is aligned properly!
Yeah, I always opt for Noctua too. Sometimes I’ve had to repaste my cards multiple times before they settle in properly.
