I'm having a rough time with my sister's devices. Her MacBook Air, which is around 6 years old, suddenly stopped charging last week. Then this week, her iPad Air, which is less than a year old, also stopped charging. We suspect it's the charger since both devices are having issues.
The MacBook doesn't have anything important on it, but the iPad has over a year's worth of her artwork on Procreate that she can't access. We've been trying to use a Magic Keyboard to charge the iPad enough to save that art to iCloud, but it just stays on the charging screen with a red battery icon. We've charged it for more than an hour! I even attempted to reset it, but after pressing the volume buttons and the power button, the Apple logo doesn't show up, and it just goes back to the red battery.
Any suggestions for getting the art off the iPad or charging it enough to turn it on? Thanks in advance for your help!

When was the last time you backed up the iPad? Even though it’s under the one-year warranty, that doesn’t cover data, and if you take it in for a repair, they might just replace it. If you want to recover the data outside Apple, be careful as it may void your warranty, but it could be expensive.
Just an update: The iPad powered on for about 30 seconds but then showed it wasn't charging anymore and died again.
You might want to try using a different charger. Sometimes, the charger can be the culprit, especially if it’s acting up with multiple devices. Just ensure it's compatible with the iPad.
I’ve already tried several chargers, including my Steam Deck charger, which is 45 watts, but no luck.

Not for at least six months. We went to the Apple Store, but they couldn't help and couldn't even identify the problem since the port isn’t working for data or charging.
