My Keyboard Went Rogue! What Could Be Happening?

I was just searching something on Google when suddenly my keyboard went unresponsive, almost like the keys were stuck. Then out of nowhere, it starts typing weird stuff by itself saying: "my name is joe I fucked your momma lolololojjkjkjkjkjkj". That's definitely not something I would type! I'm really confused about this, especially since I don't have any background apps running and I generally avoid downloading sketchy files. Any ideas on what's going on?

You should do a full malware scan on your system. Also, check your task manager (ctrl + alt + del) to see what processes are running. That could give you a clue about any rogue apps.

It sounds like someone might have downloaded something you didn't notice. You mentioned you usually don't download suspicious stuff, but maybe you missed an instance? Just a thought!

I hope not! It just happened a few minutes ago, but it seems like I have control of my keyboard back now.

Have you checked if someone used a wireless keyboard on your computer? It could explain the weird typing.

Definitely not! My desktop doesn't support Bluetooth, so that's not it.

Do you live with anyone? Sometimes someone else might have downloaded an app that can mess with your system.

Yes, but my family doesn’t use this PC at all.

I just saw that "OperaGXSetup" downloaded itself in my Chrome Downloads twice recently, and I never initiated it. Could that be what's causing the issue?

That sounds suspicious! Someone else reported a similar issue with an auto-download. You might want to check it out here: [link].
