My Laptop Camera Shows a Gray Screen – How Can I Fix This?

I'm having trouble with my Lenovo Yoga 6 (13" AMD) 2-in-1 laptop running Windows 11. The camera just displays a gray screen with a privacy lock symbol whenever I try to use it. I've already tried restarting the laptop and adjusting the camera privacy settings, and I made sure that Zoom has permission to access the camera. I don't think there's any physical damage to the camera. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks!

Check for a hardware toggle on your laptop. There’s usually a Function key with a camera icon on it. Try pressing Fn+ that key to see if it toggles the camera on or off.

Just a heads up, on some models, there's a physical switch either near the camera or on the side of the laptop to enable or disable the webcam. It might be worth double-checking!

Have you slid the privacy cover off the camera lens? Some laptops have a physical cover you can open to activate the camera.
