I have a Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED with a laptop 3070 graphics card that I was gaming on last night without any issues. I closed the lid to let it rest, and when I started gaming again in the morning, everything felt sluggish. I checked and saw it was using the Intel integrated graphics instead of the Nvidia GPU. I followed some advice I found online and checked Device Manager, where the Nvidia GPU was greyed out. I uninstalled it, and now it's completely gone, replaced by a Microsoft Basic Display Adapter with an error saying the device can't be started. I also can't install the Nvidia drivers since it says no supported device is detected. Am I out of options?

It might be a hardware problem or a conflict caused by recent Windows updates and drivers. To be safe, consider backing up your important data and doing a clean install of Windows from a USB drive, making sure to delete the system partition first. It could help clear up the issues you're facing.
Have you tried restarting your Windows? I've noticed that when I leave my laptop in sleep mode for a while, it can get really laggy, and a restart usually does the trick for me.
I've done several restarts, even checked the BIOS settings, but the 3070 still isn't showing up.

I really hope it's a software glitch and not hardware. If I have to, I guess I could reformat.
