My Laptop Keeps Randomly Freezing – Need Help!

I've been facing an annoying issue where my laptop freezes and then unfreezes every few minutes. It happens during offline games and even when I'm just working. It's really frustrating, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Has anyone experienced something similar and knows how to fix it? I'm using an HP Victus.

I had the same issue! I noticed a dip in the 3D graphics card section of the task manager when my laptop froze. It seems like this might be a Windows issue. I recommend updating your system; it helped me, and I hadn't had any freezes for about 20 minutes after the update. If anyone has other solutions, feel free to share!

That's a good point! I never thought to check the task manager during the freeze. I'll have to keep that in mind while gaming.

I found the task manager stats after a freeze. It might help narrow down what’s causing it!

It could be a process that's hogging resources, like the CPU. Try downloading Process Explorer from Microsoft. Run it while using your laptop normally; when it freezes, you can quickly check the resource usage graphs to identify any spikes and see which process is causing the trouble.

I did what you suggested while testing a game, and it pointed to my game as the problem. But it also freezes when I’m not even gaming; it just feels like a delay when typing too.

That graph looks intense! I’m seeing similar spikes too, but no apps open during the freeze. I think this could be a deeper issue.
