I'm really frustrated because my laptop used to handle games without any issues, but lately, I've been experiencing serious crashes that I can't explain. I've been focused on hero shooters, specifically Marvel Rivals, which started crashing around April or June. Initially, it would crash during gameplay, and eventually, I couldn't even load a match without a crash and a blue screen error referencing the device being removed. I thought it was just that game, but I recently tried Overwatch 2 and suffered the same fate, crashing partway through my first match with a message saying 'Your rendering device has been lost!' I've taken my laptop to the shop, and they found nothing wrong, leaving me at a loss. I've exhausted virtually every troubleshooting step possible, and I just want some answers. Also, I noticed Firefox tends to use 50-70% of my memory with a few tabs open, is that normal? My specs are as follows: it's a Dell laptop with a 13th Gen Intel i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, running Windows 11 Home. I recently updated my NVIDIA graphics driver too. Any help would be appreciated!

I get where you're coming from—it can be super annoying! It might help to check your RAM and SSD. Sometimes, those components can go faulty or get loose. Give your cooling system a good clean while you're at it; overheating could lead to crashes too. There's a good chance these issues could be fixed with those changes.
It sounds like you're dealing with some frustrating crash issues, especially if it's affecting multiple games now. A common cause for problems like the blue screen you described is the GPU disconnecting. I recommend a few fixes: try switching from DirectX 12 to DirectX 11 in your game settings and consider limiting your FPS to around 60 or 120. Also, ensure you perform a clean reinstall of your NVIDIA drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to wipe old drivers first. If those steps don't help, keep me posted and we can dig deeper!
I already tried reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers and even downgraded them while troubleshooting.

Thanks for the tips! Sounds like it'll take some time to sort out.
