My Laptop Won’t Charge Past 0%—What Could Be Wrong?

I'm having an issue with my laptop that shows it's at 0% charge, but it still works fine when unplugged. My boyfriend was tinkering with the battery drivers yesterday, but I'm still facing the same problem. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on and how I might fix it?

If your battery is at 0% but still functioning, it might indicate that it can't hold a proper charge anymore. Since you've noticed charging issues for a few weeks, it's possible the battery is on its last legs. Just a thought: how old is the laptop?

I got it in January last year. I mainly use it for school and some gaming, so I think it should last longer than this, right?

This problem could be a calibration issue with your battery. Try using your laptop until it completely runs out of charge, then plug it in to see if that helps recalibrate it. Also, make sure to check for any Windows updates and install relevant drivers from the Optional section.
