I got my HP laptop (model 14s-dq0xxx) on November 12, 2025, mainly for college work. Unfortunately, I can't install anything without it crashing, and it's been slow since day one. My storage is nearly full, but when I check, I can't find anything that seems to be taking up that much space. Can anyone help me figure out what's consuming my storage and how to delete it?

Check the Settings. Go to Settings > System > Storage. This can guide you in clearing out unnecessary temp files to free up some space.
You might want to try using a program like Treesize. It's great for showing you exactly what's occupying your storage space. Here's the link to check it out: www.jam-software.com/treesize
You might also try Space Sniffer. It can help visualize your storage usage and figure out what's taking up all that space.
Have you checked for Windows updates? They're often located in C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution, particularly in the Download folder. That could be using a lot of your storage. Just be cautious about deleting files from there; make sure they're safe first.

Are these files safe to remove?
