I have a recent HP laptop running Windows 11, and it was working perfectly until yesterday when it just shut down. Now, when I plug in the charger, the light on the side turns on, but pressing the power button does nothing. I can't afford to take it to a repair shop right now, so I'm looking for any tips on what I might try to fix this issue myself.

I actually tried the power button method, but it still won't turn on. My laptop doesn't have a removable battery, and every time I plug it in, the light just stays on. Is there any other way to force it to turn on?
Try this: unplug the charger, hold the power button for a full minute, then wait for about 10 seconds. After that, plug the charger back in and see if it powers on. If it does, check if there’s a BIOS update available. If it doesn't, make sure the charger is working, and if possible, try removing the battery and see if it will turn on without it.
