I was cleaning my HP Omnibook 5 because I found something stuck in the USB port. I used some canned air and a safety pin to remove it. After I cleaned it, I tried to turn on my laptop, but it won't power up—no display, no lights. I plugged it in, but the charging indicator isn't working either. What could be the problem?

Oh no! It sounds like you might have accidentally shorted something. Using metallic objects, like a safety pin, can definitely cause issues. I'd recommend checking with an HP service center to see if they can help with the damage.

But won't it be okay since the laptop was off when you cleaned it?
