I recently purchased an HP Elitebook Folio 9470m from Facebook Marketplace. It seemed fine at first, and the seller had no reported issues. After receiving it, I tried to boot it up to install Linux Mint via a flash drive, but after shutting it down using Shift, the laptop won't turn on anymore. It shows the Caps Lock light flashing and other buttons light up, but there's no display whatsoever and it doesn't respond to any inputs. I tried everything I could think of, including using the battery slider on the bottom, but it seems like it just won't respond. I'm really confused about what might be causing this issue. Any advice on what to do next?

Hey there! The blinking Caps Lock key generally indicates a hardware issue. It sounds like a power reset could help. First, disconnect everything including the power cable. Use that battery release slider on the bottom—slide it to the left to disconnect the battery. After that, hold down the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power. Reconnect everything and try to power it on again.

Tried your steps, but no luck. The Caps Lock key is still blinking nonstop, which might mean something's wrong. Maybe I got scammed?
