I recently dropped my Pixel 4a, and the screen got damaged—it's not lighting up at all, although I can feel it vibrating when I turn it on. I was already planning to upgrade to a new phone, but there's a lot of important data on that device. Is there any way I can recover this data? I heard about MTP but I'm not sure if that's possible without being able to see the phone's interface. Any tips or methods would really help!

In my experience at a phone service shop, we used to transfer data from broken devices by briefly attaching a new screen, transferring the data, and then replacing it with the original broken screen. You might want to ask a nearby repair shop if they can help you with something similar.
Unfortunately, Google doesn't support HDMI over USB-C for any of its phones, so connecting to a TV won't work for displaying your screen. Your best bet is to get the screen replaced, either by yourself or by a professional repair shop.
