Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my laptop. After it suddenly turned off and I discovered the SSD was dead, I replaced it with a new one and installed Windows 11. However, now the trackpad isn't working at all. Here's what I've tried: 1) There's no trackpad option in the settings. 2) I can't find it listed in Device Manager under either the HID or Mice categories. 3) I checked the BIOS, but there aren't any settings related to the trackpad. 4) I've installed various drivers, including Precision Touchpad and Synaptics, but none have helped. 5) I even opened the laptop to check the hardware, and everything seems fine. I'm really stuck here and it's been three days without a solution. Plus, the laptop is from a company that doesn't offer any after-sales service (WINGS NVOBOOK). Any ideas on what I can do?

If the BIOS doesn’t show any trackpad options, it might be worth resetting it to default settings. Sometimes that can fix detection issues. If all else fails, you might need to consider an external mouse until you can sort the trackpad out or even consult a professional.

It sounds like you might have accidentally knocked the trackpad connection loose when you replaced the SSD. Check the ribbon cable that connects the trackpad to the motherboard. Ensure it's firmly connected on both ends. Sometimes they can be tricky to reconnect, so double-checking could help!

I had a similar issue before! Make sure the cable isn't damaged, as that could also cause problems.
