Hey everyone, I'm having some serious issues with my laptop's WiFi. It used to occasionally disappear, but I could usually get it back with a restart or by scanning for hardware changes. Heavy usage, like gaming, sometimes caused it to crash, but now it's completely missing from Device Manager. It used to show up as greyed out in Hidden Devices, but now it's not even there. Here's what I've done so far: I uninstalled the WiFi adapter and deleted the driver, then restarted, but it's still gone. I also tried a hard power reset with no luck. Has anyone else faced something like this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I had a similar problem before. My laptop's WiFi stopped working entirely, so I installed Linux Mint to repurpose it as a basic note taker, and weirdly enough, the WiFi adapter worked fine there. Not saying it’s a fix, but sometimes Windows can be a hassle.
This sounds like it might be a hardware issue. It seems like your WiFi adapter is on its last legs and has probably completely failed now.
You could try holding the power button for three minutes with the laptop on to reset the WiFi card and Bluetooth. It’s worked for some people I know.
Looks like a hardware glitch to me. As a last resort, consider doing a fresh Windows install. But hey, the good news is that WiFi cards are pretty cheap—around $20—and installation is easy, similar to swapping RAM.
Any recommendations for a WiFi card? I have an ASUS ROG Strix G513IH.

I’ve tried that too, but it didn’t help.
