I've been having some serious trouble with my left AirPod lately. This morning, it started off being really quiet, and despite trying just about everything I found online—cleaning it, deleting and reconnecting, even some strange tricks like sucking on it—nothing seems to help. At one point, it worked again but then randomly disconnected with a popping sound. Now, I can't even check its status because when it's in the case, the green light just keeps flashing nonstop. The right one is totally fine. I've only had these AirPods since last fall, so I really don't want to replace them so soon. Does anyone have any ideas on what else I can try?

Wait, did you just say you sucked on it? That’s a new one! But seriously, have you had these AirPods for a while? If you’re using them all day every day, it might be time to consider if they need replacing sooner than expected!
Yeah, I'm afraid I've resorted to some crazy measures…I just really need them to work again! 😂
It sounds like your AirPods might need a good deep clean. Try using a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts inside the case. If you notice the charging contact or metal part at the bottom of the AirPod is greenish, you might have sweat corrosion going on. Also, hold down the button on the back of the case until it flashes amber while keeping the lid open; that might help reset it. By the way, how many hours do you use them daily? The batteries are pretty tiny and usually last for around two years with average daily use, which is about three hours a day at most. I hope that helps!
I can relate to the panic; I was desperate myself! Hopefully, it’s just an issue that can be fixed with cleaning!
Good point! If you got them around September of last year, they should still be under warranty. You could take them to Apple or send them in for a checkup.
