Hey folks, I've run into a pretty unsettling situation with my Microsoft account. About 20 days ago, I found that my Microsoft username and password had been changed. This issue also affected my Minecraft account, where my username and skin were altered. I attempted to change my password, but the same thing happened again just yesterday. Now, my username was changed again in the Minecraft Launcher, and I was logged out. After resetting my password once more, I'm really confused about why this keeps happening. I noticed my Minecraft username is "YASHBHAIOP"—the 'BHAI' part means 'brother' in Hindu or Urdu—but I haven't seen any signs of malicious behavior from whoever's hacking me. There's been no ransomware or malware as far as I can tell, but I definitely want to stop this person from getting into my accounts. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just so you know, if someone has access to your account for too long, you might lose it altogether. It's better to act fast and ensure everything is secure now than to deal with it later!
Backing up your data and reinstalling your system can give you a fresh start. After that, change all your passwords and log out of every session. It’s a hassle but might just do the trick to secure your accounts.
If you suspect malware on your system, it's worth checking things out. I recommend going through a malware guide and ensuring your system is clean. Sometimes these issues could originate from a compromised device. Stay safe!
It sounds like you might be missing a key security step here. After changing your password, it’s really important to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using an app. This adds an extra layer of protection and could stop the unauthorized access. Make sure you're not just using a password similar to the old one or one that you might be using elsewhere too!
Totally agree! Using unique passwords everywhere really helps too.

Yep, you're spot on! I didn’t think about that at first, but I went ahead and switched to using a phone number for logging in and enabled 2FA. It feels much safer now, thanks for the reminder!
