I recently bought an LG Ultragear 24G411A-B monitor, and it's been great overall. However, for the past week, I've been experiencing this frustrating issue where the screen goes black for a second and then comes back. This happens at least once a day, and I'm trying to figure out what's causing it.
I'm currently using a DisplayPort 1.4 cable at 144Hz and have tried a few troubleshooting steps: I unplugged and replugged the cable, switched from overclocking to 120Hz, toggled HDR on and off (it worked fine before, but now it doesn't seem to affect it), disabled FreeSync, and turned off Adaptive-Sync from the monitor settings. I have also updated Windows and my graphics drivers, but nothing seems to help.
My graphics card is an AMD RX 6500 XT, and most occurrences of the black screen happen while I'm browsing the internet, though it did happen once while gaming—curiously, the game continued to run fine in the background.
I'm considering switching to an HDMI cable or even checking for possible power supply issues, maybe even a Windows 11 bug. It's annoying since the flickering isn't that frequent, but it shouldn't happen at all! If anyone has insights or solutions, I'd appreciate it!

Don’t rule out external factors either! Sometimes, fluctuations in your power supply could make the screen flicker. If there’s another heavy appliance like a washing machine running, that could cause these issues too. If you think your area has power fluctuation problems, it might be worth looking into a surge protector or UPS.
I had a similar issue with my MSI MAG 321CUP monitor, and I found a potential fix from Nvidia that might work for AMD users too. You could try disabling the MPO (Multi Plane Overlay). You'll need to download an MPO disable file and run it, then restart your system. Just a heads up, make sure to back up your data before making any registry changes. There might be an equivalent solution for AMD, so if you find it, that could really help solve your problem!
First thing I'd recommend is to try switching the DisplayPort cable if you can. It's a common issue that sometimes the cable itself can cause these blackouts, so that might just do the trick!

Sounds interesting! Do you know what the AMD equivalent would be? I'm all AMD with my setup!
