My New PC Keeps Restarting While Gaming, What Could Be Wrong?

I bought a new gaming PC a year ago to play titles like Alan Wake 2 and Silent Hill 2, and everything was working fine until a couple of months ago. Now, my PC unexpectedly restarts even when I'm playing less demanding games like Tomb Raider Remastered and The Elder Scrolls Online. It's frustrating because it's supposed to be a reliable new build! I really need guidance on how to troubleshoot this issue. Here are my specs:
- MSI B650M Gaming WiFi Motherboard
- Ryzen 5 7600X CPU
- 3070 Ti Graphics Card
- Cooler: [link to cooler]
- 16GB Lexar 4800MHz DDR5 RAM
- Corsair 750W Bronze Power Supply
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear you're facing these issues! Have you checked if XMP/EXPO is enabled in your BIOS? If it's on, try turning it off and see if that makes a difference. If it does, you might want to update your BIOS and then switch XMP back on, as there could be a compatible profile available. It's also a good idea to reset your BIOS to defaults in case there's a bad overclock, especially if you bought it used. Don't forget to check your Windows Event Viewer for any errors logged around the time of the crashes—it might give you clues about what's causing the problem! Plus, you could run DDU to clean your Nvidia drivers and reinstall them if it's been a while since you did that. Good luck!

Thank you so much! Where exactly do I find XMP/EXPO? I'm not super experienced with PCs.

I totally get where you're coming from. It's stressful dealing with these unexpected restarts; all I want is a stable PC experience without the anxiety! It's tough when your setup has these kinds of issues.

Consider doing a clean install of your Nvidia drivers. Sometimes, regular updates don’t cut it, and a fresh install can sort out any hidden issues.

Should I reinstall them even if I've been updating regularly? Just want to make sure!

Troubleshooting is key! Start by looking at any error messages or logs; they can provide a hint at the issue. Also, monitor your PC's temperatures to make sure it isn't overheating, as that can cause sudden shutdowns. You want to catch any potential thermal throttling before it leads to problems. Just so you know, you can troubleshoot whenever, not just right after a crash—it's all about gathering information to understand the issue better!

Why do you have to be so snarky? This is a support thread, not a place for attitude.
