My New PC with a 5070 Keeps Crashing! What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I recently built a high-spec PC after suffering with a terrible one for over five years. Here's what I've got: an Asus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, Intel i9-14900k, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2TB Samsung SSD, and an Asus Z790 motherboard. For the first week, everything was running perfectly, but now many of my games are crashing unexpectedly—no errors, just closing out of nowhere. I've tried troubleshooting but it seems to be a problem with my PC, not just the games. I even attempted to reset the PC, but I keep getting an error that says "error with resetting, no changes made"—which is super frustrating! I often get blue screens while trying to reset too. Here's a quick list:

**Games that work:** Elden Ring, Poe2, Black Myth Wukong, Cyberpunk, Helldivers 2, PUBG

**Games that used to work but now crash:** League, Valorant, Roblox, Rust

Also, my browser, Discord, and Spotify are closing and reopening on their own frequently. I'm not sure what the issue could be. I have warranties on my components since I got them from Micro Center, and I'm considering returning the GPU and switching to a 4070, but I'd like to troubleshoot more before making that decision.

It sounds like the Intel i9-14900k is causing problems. These 13th and 14th gen CPUs are known for crashing and running extremely hot. Intel has released updates to fix these issues, but many users, including myself, still face instability. Before you think about switching out the GPU, I’d definitely look into whether the CPU is the root cause of your crashes.

Yeah, it’s probably the CPU to blame. I've also heard of a lot of crashes with those Intel models. If you've already done some troubleshooting and the games are still crashing, you might be looking at an RMA situation. Some people got lucky with their CPUs, but plenty had to return them because of the crashes.
