I've run into a major issue with iMessage. A while back, I accidentally sent out a text blast to some new clients, and unfortunately, some people reported my number as spam. After reaching out to Apple, they informed me that due to this past incident, my number is now whitelisted, which means I can no longer use iMessage. I've had this number for over 15 years, and I really need advice on how to resolve this. Has anyone else experienced this and what options do I have?

You might want to switch to another messaging app like Google Messenger. That could help you keep in touch without being affected by the iMessage issue.
It sounds like your number's actually blacklisted, not whitelisted. If that's the case, you might not be able to get it off the list as they usually won't remove numbers that were reported for spam. I'd recommend looking into alternative services like Google Voice or Twilio for your business number. You could also check if you can send and receive texts through your Apple ID instead, just in case they haven’t blocked that too.
Just a heads up, they referred to it as 'whitelisted,' but it sounds more like it’s blacklisted because of the reports. If you did send spam, that could be why it got blocked.
