Hey everyone,
I just put together my first PC build yesterday and it went pretty smoothly overall—except I had to take the motherboard out twice to check for any issues when it didn't boot at first. I have an AMD 9800x3d, 64GB of RAM, a 5070ti, and a Gigabyte X870 Eagle WiFi7 along with a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe drive.
After installing all the drivers, updating the BIOS, and benchmarking, I powered it down for the night. The next morning, I turned it on and it booted into BIOS without detecting the bootable drive at all. I also saw a red LED light near the NVMe drive, which is concerning. I moved the drive to another slot but got the same red LED and no detection. I couldn't find an explanation for the red LED in the motherboard manual.
On top of that, I've noticed that the DRAM LED goes red for a few seconds when powering up. I tried booting from a Windows USB stick and it gave me repair options, but when I ran the list disk command, it only showed a 50GB partition.
I'm wondering if this could be due to a driver issue or a messed-up BIOS update since I installed several drivers without restarting first. I did unplug the PC immediately after shutting it down, so I'm at a bit of a loss. Should I take it to a service or is there something I can try myself?

I've had a similar issue before! Try disconnecting the power and removing the CMOS battery. Hold down the power button for about 60 seconds, then put the battery back in, power it up, and see if it recognizes the NVMe drive. This effectively resets the motherboard settings which might help your situation.
Thanks, I'll give that a shot! Is that the same as shorting the pins to reset the motherboard? I noticed that option in the manual.
