I recently booted up my PC and, after logging in, I hurried to open Google Chrome. Unfortunately, Windows seemed to still be starting up, and when I clicked too soon, everything froze. I could move my cursor around, but no programs would launch. Eventually, I turned my PC off and on again, and now it only loads into the BIOS. I've tried exiting without saving since I didn't change any settings, but it just reboots and sends me back to the BIOS. I'm starting to think that something went wrong with booting from my SSD where Windows is installed. How can I check if my SSD is set as the boot drive? What else could be causing this issue?

Have you looked at the boot options in BIOS? Try selecting your disk if you can see it there. I’ve had situations where it just forgot which drive to boot from. Sometimes a quick reminder works, and it boots up just fine!
When you power off a computer with the switch, it can corrupt system files, especially on Windows or even the SSD. It’s generally best to avoid that! You might need to reinstall Windows from the recovery partition or a USB drive if that's an option for you.

I can't check the exact name right now, but the main option was labeled something basic like 'Hard Disk 1'. My SSD isn't listed at all. How do I confirm if it's detected in BIOS?
