I was just watching YouTube when my PC suddenly froze. I turned it off, but now it gets stuck at the ASRock loading screen. I tried removing the motherboard battery and letting it sit for a while, but that didn't help. I then replaced my 1TB SSD with a 256GB SSD, and the PC booted up fine with the new one. I'm really frustrated because I spent a lot on the 1TB SSD (which is $60 for me), and I need to understand what the issue is and how I can fix it.

From my experience, a dead SSD can still let your PC boot into the BIOS, but it might take ages—like 2-3 minutes. So, try putting the 1TB back in, just be patient! If it doesn't show up in BIOS, it’s probably dead, and you should think about getting a replacement under warranty.
I’d suggest putting the 1TB SSD back in and then booting from the 256GB SSD through the UEFI BIOS. Once you're in the Windows on the smaller SSD, you can install CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of the 1TB drive. If it’s showing red indicators, it's likely faulty, and you might need to return it or consider RMA.

When I checked the BIOS, the SSD didn’t show up at all. Does that mean it's definitely corrupted?
