Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a pickle with my PC and could use some advice. About a year ago, I had a hacking incident, and while I thought I cleaned everything off, my motherboard (MB) hasn't been the same since. I've been checking for malware and ransomware, but everything seems clear. However, my PC is really struggling now; it sometimes won't boot, even though the lights on the motherboard come on.
Today, I removed Razer Synapse and installed OpenRGB for my keyboard lighting. After that, I restarted my PC, and it seemed like a normal update was happening, but now it won't get past two lights on the MB when I try to boot it up.
Also, I'm dealing with slow performance and can't use all four RAM sticks I bought (Trident Z Royal, DDR4-3600), because it won't boot with all of them in. I've made some upgrades this year, including new RAM, a new CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 5700X), and extra storage, but I'm starting to wonder if my MB is the problem. I really want to use all four RAM sticks without issues, so if you have any tips or advice, I'd really appreciate it! Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: Asrock B550 Pro4
- RAM: Trident Z Royal, DDR4-3600, 128GB total
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070TI FTW3
- PSU: EVGA 1000 GT Supernova
- OS: Windows 11
- Storage: 1TB Samsung 870 and two 8TB Seagate HDDs.
Currently, I'm seeing error lights on the MB: CPU, DRAM, VGA, and BOOT.

You mentioned the lights on the motherboard—check if there are any letters next to them that might indicate the error codes. It seems like you've already done a lot of the basic troubleshooting, but sometimes problems can escalate if you try to fix them without enough knowledge. If things get complicated, it’s always a good idea to ask for help sooner rather than later!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve definitely been having issues since upgrading to Windows 11, and I guess I should’ve reached out sooner. I'm just worried about making things worse.
