My PC is Acting Up After Removing a Monitor

I'm facing a weird issue with my PC that I can't seem to figure out. Recently, I noticed that one of my three monitors broke, so I disconnected it. Ever since then, my entire PC's performance took a nosedive, but only when I'm not running a game. When I have a game open, everything works perfectly fine, but as soon as I close it, performance drops back to terrible. I've already tried scanning for malware, checking for viruses, cleaning my fans, resetting Windows, and adjusting power settings, but nothing has helped. Here are my PC specs that I think might matter: AMD Ryzen 9 5900 (12 core processor) and 32 GB of RAM. I'm really stumped on what to do next!

You might want to check your screen settings. Sometimes, Windows still believes that the removed monitor is part of your setup, and it could be trying to send a signal there. This could cause performance issues because your GPU might be overwhelmed, trying to manage that nonexistent display. Just a thought! Let me know what you find out!

I checked, but it only shows two monitors. Not sure if I missed something!

What GPU are you using? That could help narrow things down. The graphics card might need a reset or some driver updates if it's acting weird with the monitors.

I've got an RTX 3080.
