My PC is Acting Up—Where Should I Start Fixing It?

Hey everyone! My PC has been having some issues lately, and I could really use your help to get to the bottom of it. Here's a quick rundown of what's going on:

First off, sometimes my PC just refuses to connect to my monitor, showing a 'no signal' message. The only fix I've found is to shut down my PC, power it off completely, unplug the display cable, power it back on, then plug the cable back in. I've tried different monitors and a new cable, but nothing seems to work.

Then, there are times when my whole PC crashes out of nowhere. Fortunately, it's happening less often now, but it still crashes my games occasionally.

I've noticed that I have to set graphics on low for almost every game to make it playable. I know I have an old graphics card, but I'd prefer not to upgrade just yet if there are other underlying problems.

I've checked the temperature, and overheating doesn't seem to be an issue. Here's what I'm working with:

- **CPU:** Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600k CPU @ 3.70GHz
- **RAM:** 16 GB
- **Graphics Card:** Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

So, my question is: where should I start with upgrades or fixes, and will that help solve my PC problems? Thanks for any suggestions!

Since your graphics card is a bit outdated, you might want to think about planning an upgrade down the line, but as you mentioned, focus on fixing current issues first. If you're feeling adventurous, you could check your motherboard settings too—sometimes they can affect performance too!

First things first: try updating your graphics card drivers. It can make a big difference with sudden crashes and performance issues. You can download the latest drivers from NVIDIA's site. Just head over to their driver page, input your graphics card model, and grab the latest version.

Yeah, definitely do that. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause a ton of weird problems. After updating, check if your monitor connection issue persists.

Another thing to consider is the power supply unit (PSU). If it's not providing enough power, it could cause crashes and signal issues. Make sure your PSU meets the requirements for your setup. If it's underpowered, it might be time for an upgrade!

Totally agree! Just make sure it’s compatible with your motherboard and other components. This could be the key to stabilizing your PC.
