I was playing games on my PC when suddenly the screen froze. I thought it was just lag, but it didn't go away. Now, I can't use the power button or any key combos, and my mouse isn't responding either. What should I do to fix this?

Another option is to hold the power button for a longer time. Sometimes, it takes a bit more time to get a response when it's frozen.

If unplugging doesn’t work and it’s still on, you might have to just let it sit for a bit and try powering it on again after a short while.

If your PC is frozen and nothing is responding, try unplugging it from the wall. If it's a laptop, removing the battery can help too. It helps reset the hardware.

Definitely, if holding down the power button doesn't work, unplugging or removing the battery is your best bet.

I had a similar issue. After pulling the power cord, my PC still wouldn’t turn off. It can be frustrating; sometimes, you just have to wait a minute before trying anything else.
