Hey everyone! I'm having some issues with my gaming PC, and it feels really unstable, especially when I'm playing games like FiveM, DayZ, and Tarkov. Here's my setup:
- CPU: i9 10850K
- Motherboard: Z490 Gaming Plus
- GPU: 4060 OC 8GB
- RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB (XMP) DDR4, 32GB
When I'm playing FiveM, my FPS can drop from over 100 to around 40, which is frustrating. I'm also noticing CPU spikes hitting around 60% usage, making the experience pretty unplayable. I've tried adjusting in-game settings and closing unnecessary programs in Task Manager, but nothing seems to work. I'd love any tips on how to optimize my system or improve stability. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked your temperatures? If your CPU or GPU is overheating, it could throttle performance and cause FPS drops. Make sure your cooling system is working well and that there’s no dust buildup in your case.
It sounds like your RAM is actually fine with 32GB, but you might want to try using Process Lasso. It’s a handy tool that lets you set CPU priorities. I usually set the CPU priority to high and, for gaming, I disable core 0. Give that a shot and see if it helps!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely check out Process Lasso and see if that improves things.
I haven’t checked temperatures yet. I’ll monitor them while gaming and see if overheating is the issue. Appreciate the tip!
