Hey everyone, I'm usually pretty good with tech, but I'm stumped by a frustrating issue I'm having with my PC. It crashes at least once a day—when it does, the screen freezes, and the last audio clip just loops until I hard reset. I initially started out on Windows 10, where I experienced daily BSODs, so I switched to Linux Mint (I'm new to Linux, by the way). Sadly, the problem persists.
I've replaced a faulty SSD with a new NVME drive, upgraded my RAM from 2x8GB 3200 to 2x16GB 3600 (both were faulty), and I even updated my motherboard firmware. The crashes continue to happen, and it's really disrupting my side business work. My setup includes an R5 3600 processor with an RX580 Sapphire graphics card, all on a Gigabyte E-ATX motherboard. I'm starting to wonder if Firefox might be the issue since the crashes often occur while I'm watching long YouTube videos. Any help would be super appreciated!

Could it be overheating? That can definitely cause crashes. You might want to keep an eye on your CPU temperatures just in case, even if you haven’t noticed issues when gaming or using modeling software.
Having had both a faulty SSD and RAM is tough! Have you looked into your motherboard or power supply? It might be tricky, but I'd suggest ruling out the power supply first since intermittent failures are often tied to it.
Also, it's important to mention your distro and any error info when asking for help like this! It gives folks more to work with.

I guess that’s possible. I’ll monitor the temps to be sure, but I haven’t faced overheating before with this setup.
