Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my older office PC that I recently upgraded. It's got a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, an MSI X470 Gaming Pro motherboard, and 16 GB of RAM. Just two weeks ago, I performed a CPU upgrade to support Windows 11. But yesterday, the PC started randomly rebooting, and now I can't even get into Windows before it restarts again. I ran a stress test for two hours with no errors and tested two different BIOS versions, but no luck. MemTest86 also came back clean. I'm not overclocking or anything since this is just an office PC, not used for gaming. When I tried running Linux Mint from a USB, it showed some CPU errors (I've pasted the details below). I've got a 30-day return window on the CPU—do you think I should return it, or is there anything else I can try?

It sounds like you might have encountered a hardware failure with your CPU, especially since Linux Mint is showing CPU errors. If you’re within the return window, it might be best to send it back for a replacement.
You might want to run a thorough stress test using Prime95 to see if the CPU is stable under pressure. But if it won’t boot into Windows anymore, that could be tricky. Have you had any luck trying that yet?

I tried, but Windows just restarts instantly before I can get to it.
