I've been experiencing an issue where my PC shuts down unexpectedly after about 5 to 10 minutes of playing demanding games, and I'm really looking for help to diagnose the problem. I thought about switching my PSU (Corsair CX750M) from multi-rail to single-rail, but I'm not sure how to do that. I tried using Corsair iCUE, but it didn't seem to work for me. I'm not very tech-savvy, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. My GPU is an RTX 3090, and I'm worried the power supply might be the issue.

First off, you should definitely keep an eye on your system temperatures using something like MSI Afterburner. Overheating could be causing those shutdowns. Also, check the Windows Event Viewer to see if any specific errors pop up during those crashes. I’m not sure where you heard about switching to single-rail, but that might not be necessary—you might just need to consider if your power supply can handle your setup.
I checked the Event Viewer, and it flagged a 'Kernel Power 41' error. Anyone have ideas on what to do about this?
What CPU are you using? If it's something like the Intel 14700K or 14900K, that 750W PSU might struggle, especially if it's not the highest quality. If your PC completely blacks out, it could be the PSU going into overcurrent protection mode.
I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X.
I read about it in a few places online, but maybe it's just a myth? I'm just trying to find any solution that works.
