My PC Keeps Stuttering—Any Suggestions?

Hey everyone! I recently bought a PC second-hand with some pretty great specs, including an AMD 5800x3d, 64 GB of RAM, and a Gigabyte 4070 Super GPU. Unfortunately, after reorganizing the messy wiring and installing Windows, I'm having some serious stuttering issues. Initially, I thought the problem was the SSD since I had to replace the original one. I first tried a WD Black NVMe SSD, but returned it thinking it was faulty. I then switched to a SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD, which initially seemed fine, but after updating Windows and drivers, the stuttering came back. I've reinstalled everything, but it's still laggy and crashes occasionally. I'm at a loss for what to do—any help would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try running your RAM without XMP/Expo enabled. Sometimes those profiles can cause stability issues depending on how the system is configured.

I'm not really sure what XMP/Expo is or how to adjust that. Could you explain?

Have you thought about clearing the CMOS and reseating your components? Sometimes, resetting your BIOS can fix these weird performance issues. It might help with the stuttering too!

I haven't cleared the CMOS yet, but I did manage to rewire everything and get it to work.

Also, check that your CPU cooler is functioning properly. If temps are high, it could throttle performance. You mentioned temps around 41°C at rest, which isn't bad, but double-check during load.

Yeah, they were worse before, so it seems fine now, but I'll keep an eye on them!
