My PC Starts but Monitors Won’t Turn On – What Should I Do?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind with my PC. It started fine the other day – lights on, fans spinning – but my monitors are not displaying anything. Usually, I can just turn it off and back on a few times, and it works, but now I'm stuck. I've tried a bunch of things already: I reseated the RAM and tested them one by one, reseated the GPU, replaced the CMOS battery, and even upgraded my power supply from an APEVIA ATX PR800W to a Corsair RM750e, hoping that would help. I also got a new Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU to replace my old one, but no luck. Now, I'm thinking of installing a new motherboard I bought, but I want to know if anyone has other suggestions.

Here's what I've got:
- Old Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X570-P
- New Motherboard: MAG B550 TOMAHAWK
- Old GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
- New GPU: RADEON RX 9060 XT
- Old PSU: Apevia Prestige 800W Bronze
- New PSU: Corsair RM750e 750W Gold
- RAM: Corsair DDR4

I still can't check my CPU specs because I can't find my receipt. By the way, my current motherboard doesn't have LED debug lights; it uses a beeping system that needs a specific speaker to work, which I don't have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure everything is plugged in right, including the HDMI cable into the GPU. Testing with a different monitor can also help narrow it down. I know it’s frustrating, but these simple checks can sometimes solve the problem before diving into hardware replacements.

You’re doing the right thing by methodically troubleshooting. If you can, try swapping in that new motherboard to see if it resolves the issue. Just remember to check your connections again, just in case!

You might need to check your CPU. If you don’t want to remove the cooler just yet, try plugging your display cable into the motherboard to see if you get a signal through onboard graphics. If that doesn't work, you might have to take the cooler off and check the CPU directly. Make sure to have thermal paste ready for reapplication afterwards if you go that route.

Yeah, I understand the hesitation about removing the cooler. It’s a hassle! But if you do check the CPU, just be careful and turn off the power supply after running it for a few seconds to see if it warms up. If it doesn't, that might mean the CPU is dead.

I had a similar problem once. Sometimes it's just the little things, like making sure everything is plugged in correctly. Have you tried a different HDMI cable or monitor? Using a different monitor sometimes helps rule out issues.
