My PC Won’t Boot After a Motherboard Spark Incident – Help Needed!

Hey everyone! A couple of months ago, my PC just stopped working, and when I tried to troubleshoot, my motherboard sparked in my face, which was super scary! My PSU was also fried, so I replaced it. Now, after hooking everything back up, my PC powers on, but my MSI A-520M-A Pro motherboard keeps flashing the VGA light. Despite everything starting up—the GPU, CPU fan, all the fans, lights, mouse, and keyboard—the screen stays black, and I can't access BIOS. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi, I saw your specs! With an AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and an RX 550, it should be a solid setup. You might want to ensure that all connections are secure and that the GPU is properly seated. If you've already replaced the motherboard and it’s still not booting, there’s a chance other components might be affected too.

It sounds like your motherboard might be toast, especially since it sparked. Just plugging in cables while the PC was powered on is risky! You definitely need a new motherboard at the very least, but I'd also check if anything else got damaged during the incident.
