Hey everyone, I really need some help! I recently installed a new CPU fan, but now my PC won't boot at all, not even to the BIOS. I'm super stressed out right now. Could this mean my motherboard is damaged, or is there something else that might be causing the issue?

You might want to check the CPU pins to see if they’re bent or if there's any thermal paste spilled on the motherboard. That can cause serious issues too!

Is the new fan a cooler or just a fan? If it’s just a fan, try putting the old one back to see if that helps. Do you have another computer where you can test the new fan to make sure it works?

It's a fan cooler. I tried the old one, but it still didn't boot up. Unfortunately, I don’t have another computer to test it.

First off, double check if everything is plugged in correctly. Sometimes the fan might not be seated properly, which could cause booting issues.

What do you mean by plugged in wrong?

Also, make sure your CPU is compatible with the motherboard socket. Sometimes they fit but just won’t start up if they’re not 100% compatible.

Yeah, the CPU is compatible.
