My PC Won’t Power On After Motherboard Replacement – What Should I Do?

I recently moved back home from university and decided to bring my PC with me. To make it fit in my bags, I disassembled it and bought a new case, power supply, and motherboard to rebuild it. The setup worked perfectly before, but now it's not showing any signs of life after the rebuild. I've tried jumping the motherboard, and I also tested the power supply with a jump, and it appears to work fine. I even checked the RAM by running it with just one stick in both slots, but still nothing. I suspect the issue might be with the CPU or another component. What steps can I take to troubleshoot this?

First, make sure that all your cables are properly connected, like the 24-pin and anything for the GPU. If everything is plugged in and still nothing happens, it might be a bad CPU installation or a faulty motherboard. It's strange for your previous components to fail just like that, especially since they were working fine before.

I've double-checked all the connections. The motherboard actually doesn't have an 8-pin EPS, just a 4-pin. Could that be a problem? I also heard about BIOS issues, but I'm hesitant to update it unless absolutely necessary.
