My PC Won’t Power On After PSU Replacement: What to Check?

I'm pretty new to PC building and recently faced a problem with my power supply unit (PSU). I decided to replace it myself, which was quite a challenge since it was my first time tinkering with the internals of a PC. Unfortunately, during the swap, I accidentally unplugged some cables that I thought were from the old PSU but ended up being crucial connections. I've reconnected everything—including the GPU with a 4+2 pin, a 4-pin for the CPU using a 4+4 pin, and the motherboard power with the big connector, plus SATA connections for my HDD and SSD. However, there's one cable that I didn't plug back in because I wasn't sure where it belonged. When I try to power it on now by plugging the PSU into the wall, nothing happens, not even a sound. I'm using the new PSU's cables and need guidance on troubleshooting this issue.

First things first, make sure the power switch on the PSU is flipped to 'on'. It's a small switch, and if it's off, your system won't power up at all. After that, check that all cables are securely plugged in; sometimes, a loose connection can cause these issues. Also, double-check if you might have accidentally unplugged the front panel header—this is important for the power button to work.

The power switch is definitely on, and everything seems snug. How do I check if I unplugged the front panel header?

Did you remember to turn the PSU on? It's easy to overlook, but double-checking that can save you a lot of hassle. If that doesn’t work, I recommend looking at the manuals for both your PSU and motherboard. If all else fails, snapping a few pics of how everything is connected along with the leftover cable could be helpful.

Yep, the PSU switch is definitely on, and the manual isn't very helpful. Here's what I have left over with how the cables are connected to the motherboard [imgur](https://imgur.com/a/Sw7n2Aw). Any insights?
