My PC Won’t Power On After Upgrading PSU and GPU

I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 1080 and switched to a new power supply (PSU) with an 850W rating. I'm having trouble getting my PC to turn on. Here's what I have connected:
- One cable with two 8-pin ends plugged into the 12V - 2x6 slot
- One 8-pin PCIe cable connected to a PCIe slot for the GPU
- The standard 24-pin cable for the motherboard
- One CPU power cable connected to both the motherboard and PSU
- One SATA power cable
When I hit the power button, the fans spin for just a second but then everything goes dead. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

If you've already tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything without the GPU and still have the same issue, I'd recommend checking if the PSU is functioning properly. Maybe try testing it with a PSU tester or another compatible PSU if you have one. Sometimes, even new components can be faulty.

It sounds like you might be trying to use both 8-pin connectors from a single cable, which can cause issues. Make sure to use separate cables from the PSU for each connector as per your GPU’s manual. It should help with your power problems!
