My PC Won’t Start After a Power Outage—What Should I Do?

Last night, my desktop PC was running perfectly fine. I powered it down for the night, but when I woke up, the power was out. After a few hours, the electricity came back on, but now my PC refuses to boot. The strange part is that only the RGB lights on the RAM sticks light up—nothing else seems to power on. The case, fans, and motherboard are completely unresponsive, with no lights or sounds. I'm checking all the connections, though it seems unlikely the issue lies there since the case didn't move overnight. I don't have spare parts to test the power supply or motherboard, so I'm not sure what else to try before considering taking it to a repair shop. Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be your power supply or possibly a fried motherboard from the outage. If you can't borrow a PSU from someone, you might need to get a new one to test. If that doesn’t fix the issue, then it could be time for a new motherboard. I'd also suggest reaching out to a repair shop just to get an expert opinion. In the future, investing in a UPS is a smart move to protect against these sudden outages.

Have you tried clearing the capacitors? Unplugging everything for a while and then holding the power button down for a bit might reset things. Give it a shot and see if it helps!
